Activities

There is an activity for everyone at Mountain Ridge Cabins. There are abundant opportunities for hiking in the meadows and forest surrounding the property and on the Highline Trail, which runs along our south border. This trail also offers a mountain biking challenge for experienced bikers, while the average rider will enjoy biking the dirt roads around the property.

We allow catch-and-release fishing in the two stocked ponds on our property. Bring your own rod and reel, and please use barbless hooks for easy release. A license is required for fishing in the nearby East Verde River in the Tonto National Forest.

If the fish aren’t biting, you can play basketball, volleyball, or pickleball, or just relax in the shade and catch up on your reading. Photographers love Mountain Ridge Cabins for its mountains, brilliant green grass, tall trees, willow-lined ponds, and winding creeks. The creek, ponds, and variety of evergreen and deciduous trees on our property attract a wide variety of birds, making Mountain Ridge Cabins an ideal retreat for birdwatchers. At night, sit on your own secluded porch and reacquaint yourself with the constellations.

With all of these choices, don’t think that you have to be on the go all of the time. Mountain Ridge Cabins are a wonderful place to relax, enjoy some down time, and live life at a leisurely pace.
